Bloodpril Dose Check: 500mg Against 9,000mg of Research

Most dose articles on this site have to reason around missing numbers. This one does not, because the seller printed the figure that makes the comparison exact.

The short version

500 mg of blend, three ingredients, against a combined researched range of 9,000-18,000 mg daily.

Why the published total is worth crediting

It is genuinely unusual. A proprietary blend legally needs to declare only its total weight, and a great many brands do not even do that — they list names and leave you guessing entirely.

Bloodpril prints 500 mg. That single act converts this from an argument into a calculation, and it means the conclusion below does not depend on trusting our judgement about anything.

The trial doses

L-arginine. Blood pressure meta-analyses cluster around 6,000–12,000 mg daily, with individual trials ranging from about 4 g up to 24 g. Nearly all split the dose across two or three servings. The reason is well understood: arginase enzymes in the intestinal wall and liver degrade most of an oral dose before it reaches circulation, so large amounts are required for a modest amount to get through.

L-citrulline. 3,000–6,000 mg daily, typically over six to twelve weeks, producing reductions of a few mmHg alongside improvements in arterial stiffness.

Combined researched intake: 9,000–18,000 mg per day.

What follows

500 divided by 9,000 is about 5.6%. Divided by 18,000 it is about 2.8%. So the product supplies somewhere between 3% and 6% of the daily amount used in the research it is built on.

To reach even the low end of the citrulline range alone you would need roughly six times the capsules — twelve a day rather than two — and that assumes the entire blend is citrulline, which it is not.

The uncomfortable detail is that the seller’s own page identifies dose as the central problem in this ingredient class. It states that studies of high-dose oral L-arginine often show limited sustained effects, which is correct and well-informed. It then supplies 500 mg.

Seventeen thousand reviews, and nowhere to check them

The official page displays a rating of 4.8 out of 5 drawn from 17,294 verified reviews, of which 9,841 are said to be five-star.

None of it links anywhere. There is no Trustpilot page, no Better Business Bureau file, no marketplace listing where those reviews could be read, filtered or sorted. We searched for an independent record and found none in either direction — no complaint history, and no verified positive history.

Precise numbers feel more credible than round ones, which is exactly why they are used. A count with no platform behind it is a presentation choice rather than evidence, and the appropriate weight to give it is none.

Fall back on what can actually be checked: the published blend total, the researched doses, the interaction profile, the pricing arithmetic and the refund terms. All of those are verifiable, and they are what this site is built on.

Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: NHLBI on high blood pressure, the FDA dietary supplement overview and NIH Office of Dietary Supplements. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see the interaction board or the Bloodpril official website reference.

What we would do

Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering if you take anything cardiovascular, and to a cardiologist if you have had a heart attack. Buy a validated upper-arm monitor and record twice-daily readings for a fortnight before your first capsule so you have a baseline rather than an impression. Choose the two-bottle package, since 60 days of product against a 60-day guarantee is the only combination that keeps your whole spend inside the refund window. Diarise day 50 on the day you order.

How to verify any of this

Every figure above comes from a source you can check yourself: the blend total published on the official order page, the doses used in the human trials on these amino acids, the stated guarantee terms, and peer-reviewed literature. Where an amount is not disclosed by the seller — the split between the three aminos — we say so rather than estimating it. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will re-check it and re-date the page.

Frequently asked

No, never. Improved readings on medication mean the medication is working. Any dose change is a monitored conversation with your prescriber.

No, and no dietary supplement is — but the seller does not claim otherwise. Its page says “FDA-registered facility”, which is the accurate term.

No. The figure appears on the seller's own page with no link to any third-party platform. We found no independent review record in either direction.

No. The shell is gelatin, which is animal-derived. No halal or kosher certification is claimed, and the marketing never mentions it.
